Unbound - We are not bound by the rules or practices of traditional schools.Our school provides children with the freedom to be actively engaged in driving their own learning. While our curriculum is comprised of core subjects and teaches specific academic and social skills, we are still very learner-centered and flexible. Our educators and learners work together to co-design programs of study, set goals, track progress and reflect on their growth.
Rooted - We are rooted in a holistic approach that inspires each child to be aware of and honor the power that is at work within them. At Unbound & Rooted, children are helped to cultivate their values, awareness, creativity, and critical thinking skills.

Ashley Johnson was raised in a small town just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She grew up understanding the importance of a village helping to raise a child. She will always be grateful to the family, friends, neighbors, and teachers who contributed in many invaluable ways to her childhood development.
As a parent, we all want the best for our children and their education. My daughter had an amazing experience. I am beyond impressed with how much she has learned and grown over his time at Unbound and Rooted.
Our goal is to provide this educational program for students who are marginalized.
